or RSVP to Devon Mosher at 703-341-5023 or dmosher@voa.org.

Join authors featured in “The Momentum of Hope” and experts in moral injury for a discussion and readings from the book – a vivid and moving collection of essays by people who have experienced trauma and made the journey to recovery. It offers perspectives from veterans, ministers working for justice, Holocaust survivors and caregivers.

Join us as we celebrate stories from authors such as Rev. Jim Wallis of Sojourners, Meryl Comer, co-founder of Women Against Alzheimer’s, Rev. Starsky D. Wilson, chair of the Ferguson Commission, and Kim Campbell, widow of Glen Campbell, who have all shared their incredible stories of suffering and redemption.

Volunteers of America is proud to share these stories, a discussion guide and extensive list of resources which can be found in “The Momentum of Hope.”

We will hold this event at the InterContinental Hotel at the Wharf in Washington, D.C. with views of the Air Force Memorial, the Pentagon, and Arlington National Cemetery. Wine, beer and hors-d'oeuvres will be served.
